Construction BusinessHave you been working in the construction industry for years or even decades?

At some point do you want to strike out on your own, and maybe even establish your own business?

A new market analysis suggests that 2017 is the perfect year to do so.

Why?

Well, let’s take a closer look at the numbers:

Inc.com says that construction spending has continued to increase since 2012, and isn’t going to slow down anytime soon.

In fact, “In 2016, the U.S. industry was valued at nearly $1.2 trillion–up 47 percent from 2011, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.”

Talk about a jump!

Wondering what’s responsible for this spike in growth?

A lot of it has to do with technology. Startups are forming all the time, and quickly thereafter entering the market, providing new tools that make building more affordable and efficient than ever before.

Drones and robots are just some of the technologies starting to be utilized on job sites around the country, and you can bet new apps, software, and communications technology will increase in the coming months.

Still worried you might not have what it takes to start and manage your own construction business? With some knowledge regarding project planning, how bids are placed, and what tools are necessary to get the job done, you’re already ahead of the pack — really!

If you can secure funding, and have the leadership skills to make things happen, be brave and take the risk. It’s unlikely we’ll see such positive market conditions again, so shoot for the stars.
